Skills and Funding

CITB provide funding for specific training projects through their Skills and Training Fund.  If you are a CITB-registered employer you can apply for the Skills and training fund twice in 12 months but can only have one live application at a time.

CITB Funding for Leadership and Management Modules and Full Qualification.

The CITB have identified that there is a need for leadership and management skills training in the construction sector based on industry feedback and research.  They have provided 10.5m in funding to support the delivery of this ILM qualification for all employers who are CITB levy registered.  Click on the above link for more information.

There are several providers offering the courses (either the individual modules and/or the full qualification).

CITB – How to find and recruit an apprentice

Adam Chilvers is the New Entrant Advisor for Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Bedfordshire.

This is a new team/role that works alongside CITB’s Engagement Advisors . The role is to work collaboratively with SME’s and micro companies, to support them recruiting an apprentice.  Their aim is to provide more intensive support to help employers take on an apprentice.
